Sister Paula Blue, 92, a Sister of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, died Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Villa at Florham Park, Florham Park, NJ.
Sister Paula Blue was born in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of John Alexander and Josephine E. Sak Blue. She entered the Sisters of Charity on March 25, 1946 and was a member for 73 years.
Sister Paula was an educator in the States of New Jersey and Florida. She served as a teacher at Sacred Heart School, Rochelle Park NJ; St. Joseph School, Oradell; St. Francis School, Riviera Beach, FL; St. John School, Paterson, NJ; St. Mark School, Boynton Beach, FL; St. Vincent Ferrer School, Delray Beach and St. Mark School, FL. Sister Paula graduated from the College of St. Elizabeth, Convent Station, N.J. with a B.S. degree in education and from Barry University, Miami, FL, with an M.S. degree in Elementary Education. Sister Paula embodied the spirit of Charity. She was loved by her family, her friends, the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth as well as all with whom she ministered.
She is survived by the Sisters of Charity; she was predeceased by her parents, John A. and Josephine (Sak) Blue. Surviving is her brother John A. Blue, Jr. of Brick, NJ; her three nephews and their spouses, Glen and Susan Blue, Mark and Janice Blue, all of Toms River, NJ and Scot and Terry Blue of Barnegat, NJ.
