Joseph Anthony Fiore, 79, passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019 at his home in Fredon Township, NJ.
Born and raised in Jersey City, Joseph graduated from William Dickinson High School in 1958.
He then enlisted in the United States Navy as a communications technician and was Honorably discharged in 1964. He married and then settled in Fredon Township (Sussex County NJ) 45 years ago.
Joseph was an electrician by trade. Anyone who knew him, knew how proud and thankful he was to be a Union member. He was honored to be a 54 year member and former President of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local #102 in Parsippany, NJ prior to retiring in 2001. He will long be remembered for his love and passion of horses and would often be seen driving his carriages around the neighborhood. He spent his retired years traveling and pursuing his love of history and the Civil War. known for his strong personality, tireless work ethic and devotion to his family and friends, he leaves them all with great memories.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Judy Fiore (nee Kelly); two loving sons, David Fiore and his wife Dayna of Frelinghuysen, and Paul Fiore of Fredon; a sister, Angela Caci of Tallahassee, Fl. and four grandchildren, Briana, Michele, Nico, and Maria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francesco and Clare Fiore (nee Caputo) and his brother, Michael Fiore.
At the family's request, services and cremation are private. A memorial celebration of Joseph's life will be announced in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial donations to your favorite charity in Joe's Memory.
