Joseph Redan passed away peacefully Sunday morning, Jan, 19, 2020 at Advent Health Care Center at Celebration in Celebration, FL., surrounded by his family. He was 85. Born and raised in Queens, NY he had lived in Dover, NJ and in Parsippany, NJ for 50 years before moving to Florida in 2005. While in Florida, he had lived in Poinciana and Celebration. Mr. Redan graduated from the School of Aviation Training Trade School in New York. He served in the US Airforce during the Korean War. An aerospace engineer, he had worked in aerospace marketing with Breeze-Eastern in Union, NJ and GEC Aerospace of Hillside, NJ. He later worked as an independent consultant until his retirement 15 years ago. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Rona S. Redan (nee Moretzsky); three children, Dr. Jay Redan and his wife, Mary of Celebration, FL, Sharon Burdick and her husband, Jeffrey of Parsippany, NJ, and Seena Redan and her significant other, Thomas Jirouschek of Lakewood, CO; a brother, Steven Redan and his wife, Sheila of Succasunna, NJ; six grandchildren, Rosemary Carrero, Benjamin, Elizabeth and Maxwell Redan, and Lauren and Michelle Burdick; and three great-granddaughters, Jordyn, Gracelyn, and Taylor. Funeral Services will be held privately at the family's request.
