Sister Teresa Marian Case, 84, a Sister of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, died Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Saint Joseph's Healthcare and Rehab Center, Cedar Grove, NJ.
Sister Teresa Marian Case was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, the daughter of John Joseph and Mary (Clinton Thompson) Case. She entered the Sisters of Charity on September 6, 1953 and was a member for 66 years.
Sister Teresa Marian graduated from the College of Saint Elizabeth, Convent Station, New Jersey with a B.A. degree in Social Studies. Sister Teresa Marian was an Educator in New Jersey. She served as a teacher at St. Paul of the Cross School, Jersey City; St. Peter School, New Brunswick and Sacred Heart School, Rochelle Park. She was Teacher and Principal at St. Paul School, Ramsey, St. George School, Paterson and St. Paul School, Clifton. She worked in the Office of Financial Services, Generalate, Convent Station, NJ.
Sister Teresa always managed to lighten any situation with a joke. As an educator, she was committed to providing the best education possible in a child centered environment. She was loved by her family, the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, friends and all with whom she ministered.
She is survived by the Sisters of Charity; her sister, Patricia Tighe, many devoted nieces and nephews.
