Obituary of LAURA B. HALATIN

Laura Barbara Halatin (nee Zawacki) passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Wayne, following an extended illness. She was 87. Born in New Jersey, she was a longtime resident of Clifton, NJ before coming to Montville Township, NJ in 2012. Mrs. Halatin had worked as a jeweler with Service Merchandise in Wayne, NJ for many years preceding her retirement. An avid bowler, she was a longtime parishioner of St. Philip's R.C. Church in Clifton, NJ, and more recently, St. Pius X R.C. Church Montville, NJ. Mrs. Halatin was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Peter in 1993. She is survived by her loving children, Peter Halatin and his wife, Julie of Howell, NJ, Lori Hoogmoed and her husband, Neil of Pompton Plains, NJ, and Mark Halatin and his wife, Andrea of Pine Brook, NJ; four siblings, Chester Zawacki Jr., and his wife, Ruth of Pompton Plains, NJ, Henry Zawacki and his wife Carolyn of Wisconsin, Dennis Zawacki and his wife, Barbara of Florida, and Diane Widi of Wisconsin; eight grandchildren, Kristen, Stefanie, Michele, Neil Jr., Rachel, Jacob, Lesley, and Derek, and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for memorial gifts in Laura's Memory to the Parkinson's Foundation, (www.parkinson.org). IN THE INTEREST OF PUBLIC HEALTH, ALL SERVICES AND INTERMENT AT ST. MARY'S CEMETERY WILL BE PRIVATE FOR FAMILY ONLY. PLEASE KEEP THE FAMILY IN YOUR PRAYERS AT THIS DIFFICULT TIME.
