Sergia G. Mantilla passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. She was 91.
Born in Oroquita City, Philippines, she came to the United States in 1990 settling in Jersey City, NJ.
Mrs. Mantilla earned her Bachelor's Degree in education while in the Philippines and had worked as a school teacher. Upon coming to America, she had been a self employed health aide.
Preceded in death by her husband Angel B. Mantilla four years ago; she is survived by her three sons, Rene Mantilla of Jersey City, NJ, Jojo Mantilla and his wife Marianita of Lake Hiawatha, NJ, and Carlo Mantilla and his wife Arlene of Jersey City, NJ; three sisters, Portia Bugahod, Teresita Manigaca, and Felina Lumantas all of the Philippines; and four grandchildren, Joymarie, Joanne, Mark, and Kalen Mantilla.
