Sister Agnes Lucy Robinson, a Sister of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, died April 23, 2020 at The Villa at Florham Park, Florham Park, NJ.
Sister Agnes Lucy was born in Bayonne, New Jersey, the daughter of Peter and Anne (Wiseman) Robinson. She entered the Sisters of Charity on September 8, 1939 and was a member for 80 years.
Sister Agnes Lucy graduated from the College of Saint Elizabeth, Convent Station, New Jersey with a B.S. degree in Education. She was an educator in New Jersey and was known as an excellent teacher. She was generous, kind and compassionate.
Sister Agnes Lucy served for 50 years in elementary schools. She served as a teacher at St. Patrick School, Jersey City; St. Rose of Lima School, Newark; Our Lady of Victories School, Jersey City; Holy Rosary School, Elizabeth and St. Agnes School, Clark. Sister Agnes Lucy served as both teacher and principal at Immaculate Conception School, Elizabeth. In 1990 Sister Agnes Lucy began her ministry at Mother Seton High School in Clark. She taught in the Math Resource Center for six years and in 1996 Sister Agnes Lucy began volunteer service at Mother Seton High School. Sister Agnes Lucy spent many summers volunteering at Maris Stella Retreat and Conference Center on Long Beach Island. Sister Agnes retired to The Villa in 2016.
Sister Agnes Lucy was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Ince and her brother, Gilbert. She is survived by the Sisters of Charity; her nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
