I have many memories of Harriette (Mike). Too many to mention here _ H (1st grade) sitting on Sr Agnes' lap on the rooftop playground at IHM. The policeman at the intersection of Post Rd and North Avenue calling her "the girl with the hearty laugh" as we dashed across to buy donuts and catch the connecting bus to Ursuline. In recitation class Harriette saying "Moanica Moanica". Stephanie coaching us in Latin as we rode to school on the bus. Many many impromptu parties. The two of us playing with baby Christopher. A birthday party dinner (12?) on a Friday evening when Mrs C served cod fish cakes .Pretty, pretty Harriette with the beautiful shiny hair. Harriettte in St Agnes Hospital when the twins were born.
I recently came across a picture of Harriette (5 or 6 years old) dressed as a nun! Funny how we remember so many things from the past.
I am so sorry Harriete was ill for so long. Happy that her suffering is over and she has joined her parents and her brothers laughing, laughing. God's blessings on you all.

Harriette was my dear friend all through high school, starting on the first day when I, a nervous newcomer to a school where many of the other girls had gone to grade school together, came up the steps wishing I were somewhere else. Harriette, with whom I had played hopscotch and jump rope years before on our dead-end block, remembered me, greeted me warmly, introduced me around, and was always there for me.Every day for four years we met at the corner, walked several blocks, took two buses, and arrived at school together, and if one of us had forgotten her required uniform hat, we took turns with the one we had, and the nuns never knew the difference -- I think. Harriette was a wonderful person and we shared many experiences and memories over the years since our graduation. My deepest sympathy to her sons and to Helen and Chris.
