I have a newspaper snippet with her name in it from decades ago and here I am now. Don't know how I got it, it may have been in an old book of mine

Aunt Barbara,
Man it's just coincidence that I came across this in thinking about you today. Apparently when you take care of yourself and your family people seem to think poorly of you.
You were the ONLY one who ever believed in me. The only one who didn't hold me to my bad decisions and allowed me to be forgiven and move on. Thank you for that. Thank you for always pushing me to what I could become and not holding me to what poor standards I set for myself. You will truly be missed by me. I was just telling Nick how you were always there for me and always wanted to do what you could to help me be a better person and although I never took you up on any of it; I did ok. I have a loving husband and 3 beautiful little girls who are growing into strong independent woman. Thank you for always believing in me and knowing I could change from the mistakes I made and the genetics I had to be who I was meant to be. I love you and will truly miss you.

We're living in the house Barbara rented while she ministered in the West Texas area. She loved to celebrate her birthday every 10 years and all the sisters and friends gathered for an opportunity of laughter, sharing, catching up on each other's lives and ministry adventures. Barbara was a perfect hostess. She had a way of looking you straight in the eye and connecting with your ministry. She had and shared deep insights and ways to help you out of tight places. She had the grace to be attentive and know how and when to keep moving. There is a huge tree in our back yard that was once a small Christmas tree she planted. Barbara had a great heart, amazing energy and a great love for the poor. She was an "Hermosa Locura" (Beautiful Craziness) who left a gaping hole in El Paso! Gracias oh Dios por Tu Bendición! Oh, God, thank you for the Blessing of your servant Barbara Jenkins!
