Obituary of FELIX A. TORRES

Felix A. Torres, Jr. passed away peacefully Saturday, June 20, 2020 at his Lake Hiawatha, NJ home surrounded by his loving family, following a valiant battle with colon cancer. He was 49. Born in New York, NY, Felix in Jersey City, NJ until the age of 16, before moving to Branchville, NJ. He was a resident of the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany since 2001. Mr. Torres earned his Bachelors Degree in Business from the Bloomfield College in 1993. He had been a warehouse manager with the Fiabila Company of Mine Hill, NJ for the last 5 years until becoming ill. Previously, he worked in finance with Weichert Realtors of Morris Plains, NJ, and HSBC in Brooklyn, NY. A member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Parsippany, he was also a member of the Zeta Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Felix is survived by his loving wife, Megan C. (nee Reilly), with whom he just celebrated 20 years of marriage on June 17th; his five cherished children, Ryan Torres, serving in the U.S. Coast guard in Guam; Ianna Torres, Angelica Torres, Matthew Torres, and Rachel Torres, all at home; his beloved parents, Felix A. Sr. and Milagros (nee Hernandes) Torres of Davenport. FL; his dear siblings, Jennifer Grimes and her husband Christopher of Phoenix, AZ., and Alexander Torres and his wife Jennifer of Branchville, NJ; and a host of extended family and friends. Due to the attendance restrictions relative to COVID, the Funeral Mass at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church and the Entombment at Gate of Heaven Garden Mausoleum will be by invitation of the family. The family will be establishing an education fund in support of Felix's children. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial gift in Felix's honor to this effort.
