Mr. Mario Giampapa died Tuesday morning, May 31, 2005 at Morris View Nursing Home in Morris Township following a long illness. He was 89. Born in New York, NY, he had lived 60 years in North Arlington and in Newport Richie, Florida, and Lake Hiawatha before moving to Morris View in 2001. Mr. Giampapa had served as a member of the U.S. Army-Airforce Military Police stateside during World War II. He had owned and operated a roofing and aluminum siding installation business in North Arlington for over 30 years, retiring in 1980. Mr. Giampapa was a member of the (B.P.O.E.) Elks Club of North Arlington and had been active in bowling leagues in North Arlington and Newport Richie, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude F.(nee Marcera)in 2004. Survivors include his daughter Ann Marie Moylan and her husband Thomas of Lake Hiawatha; a son Michael Giampapa and his wife Penny of Florida; three brothers, Dominick and Anthony of North Arlington, and John and his wife Stella of Clifton; two grandchildren, Thomas Jr and his wife Carrie and Deana and her husband Robert, and two great-grand daughers.
