Obituary of JOSEPHINE BROWN

Mrs. Josephine (nee Borkowski) Brown died Tuesday June 21, 2005 at her daughter's home in Parsippany following a long illness. She was 89. Born in Jersey City, she had lived there until coming to Parsippany three years ago. Mrs. Brown had worked as a houskeeper at the staff house of the Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City for over 30 years before retiring in 1980. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Senior Citizens, Battery View Senior Citizens, and Saint Aidan's Senior Citizens all of Jersey City. Survivors include her daughter Marilyn Grabowski (School Nurse at St. Peter the Apostle School) and her husband Joseph of Parsippany; three brothers, Julius Borkowski, Edward Borkowski, and Thomas Borkowski; two grandaughters, Gayle Smith McDonald and Lisa Hance; five great-grandsons, Corey Smith, Jesse Smith, Tyler Smith, Dylan McDonald and Troy Hance; one great-grandaughter, Lyndsey Hance; and many nieces and nephews.
