Mr. Salvatore Caruso died Wednesday morning, July 13, 2005 at the Troy Hills Nursing Home in Parsippany following a long illness. He was 89.
Born in New York, New York, Mr. Caruso had been a lifelong resident before coming to Parsippany in June.
He served in the United States Navy during War World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. Caruso was a letter carrier with the General Post Office in New York for 30 years before retiring in 1972.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rose (nee Arresta); a daughter Carmela Brooks of Parsippany; a son, John J. Caruso of Staten Island; and one grandchild.
