Obituary of HELEN M. STURN

Mrs. Helen M. Sturn died Thursday morning, July 28, 2005 at the Avante of Red Bank Care Center in Red Bank. She was 85. Born and raised in Newark, Mrs. Sturn had lived in South Orange, Maplewood, Union, and Hazelet before moving to Red Bank in 2004. She had worked as a nurse's aide with the Union Memorial Hospital in Union for 25 years retiring in 1996 at the age of 77. Previously, she had worked in food service with Mutual Benefit Insurance in Newark and Seton Hall University in South Orange. Her husband Clarence died in 1966. Survivors include: two daughters, Sheila Proko and her husband John of Lake Hiawatha and Shirleen Burns Growley and her husband Michael of Middletown; a son, Robert Farrell and his wife Dorothy of Milford, Delaware; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
