Obituary of PHYLLIS I. VOLLERO

Mrs. Phyllis Irene (nee Lean) Vollero died Friday afternoon, September 30, 2005 at her home in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany following a long illness. She was 87. Born in Plymouth, England, she immigrated to the United States in 1946 settling in Newark. She had lived in East Orange, Irvington, and Bloomfield before moving to Lake Hiawatha in 1980. Mrs. Vollero served in as a battleground nurse with the Royal Air Force during World War II. A homemaker, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1977. Survivors include: two daughters, Deborah Smith and her husband Colin of Lake Hiawatha and Marie Valentine and her husband Mike of Toms River; a brother, Fred Lean of England; five grandchildren, Richard, Daniel, Lisa, Danielle, and Jacqueline, and five great-grandchildren.
