Mom, Letitia, Michelle. We lost a good man today. I will always remember the good time we have spent with him. I know its going to be hard with out pop, but always keep your heads up high. He would want it that way. I am very greatful that he did have the time with my kids, they are going to miss him too.
The kids tell me not to be sad dad, because poppy is in our hearts. How true that is.

Ladies:
I am so proud to know all of you today. I didn't know Michael but I feel as if I did because of knowing Francine and Leticia and Michelle and Kevin (and even the girls). He was a very special man to be so loved. He raised such special people. Michelle and Leticia, both of you are so strong, stoic like Francine, but then so generous and warm and caring. Its such an unlikely but beautiful combination. Its funny, I know that like me with my own sisters, all the two of you see are differences between each other. However, I see such strong similarilies. You are both surrounded by friends and admired for all that you do.
Brielle, when I saw you up on the alter today, reading in such a strong voice, I was reminded of this very special lineage you carry. Like your grandfather, grandmother, mother and sister, you too are so strong, so self-assured and yet so warm and caring and thoughtful. I am looking forward to watching you grow up and change the world.
You are truly a very special family and I hope that all of you will get through this terrible time by relying on those gifts that you learned from each other -- that undeniable "Mandola" strength and control in the face of any challange, but that warmth and caring that you have all shown to me. We grieve with you but rejoice in knowing such a special family.
