Obituary of NANCY ANN DELEU

Ms. Nancy Ann Deleu died suddenly Wednesday evening, December 21, 2005 at the Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown. She was 73.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she had lived most of her life in Newton before coming to Parsippany in 1978.
Ms. Deleu had attended St. John's University in Queens, NY and the County College of Morris in Randolph.
She was employed as a medical assistant with Orthopedic Alternatives in Parsippany before retiring in 2000. Previously, she was employed in the same capacity with the medical offices of Dr. Ligner and Dr. Grodsky, both in Newton.
Ms. Deleu was the founder and a past president of the Sussex County Chapter of the American Association of Medical Assistants. She enjoyed many years of volunteering with the Chaplains Office at Morristown Memorial Hospital. She was also a member of the Baldwin Oaks Seniors, Parsippany.
She attended St. Ann's and St. Peter the Apostle Parish both in Parsippany. At St. Peter's, she was a member of the Good Samaritans, a religious education instructor, a visitor to shut-ins, a Lazarus Minister, and a Eucharistic Minister.
Her husband of 27 years, Carl Orpen Cooper died in 1977.
Survivors include: two daughters, Deborah Cooper of Reading, PA and Donna Merritt of Easton, PA; two sons, Carl D. Cooper of Newton and Brian Cooper of Westfield, MA; a sister, Ruth Kinney of Delaware, a brother, Francis Deleu of North Carolina; and eleven grandchildren, Colleen and Michael Kohan, Shelley, Taryn, Shannon, Dustin, Jordan, and Julianne Cooper, and Jeramy, Caitlin and Zachary Merritt.
