Obituary of IRWIN N. UNGER

Mr. Irwin N. Unger died Thursday, February 16, 2006 at his home in Montville. He was 83. Born and raised in Newark, he had lived in Orange and West Orange before moving to Montville in 1998. Mr. Unger had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was stationed in Iran. He earned a BS in Accounting from New York University, New York in 1954. Licensed in both New Jersey and New York, he owned and operated the accounting firm of Irwin N. Unger, CPA which was located for many years in West Orange and later in Montville. He was a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Planning Council, and the Navy League where he had served as treasurer. He and his late wife Fern had also been members of the Crestmont Country Club in West Orange, the Cedar Hill Country Club in Livingston, and the Braidburn Country Club of Florham Park. His wife Fern (nee Turtz) died in 2002. He is survived by his son StephenH. Unger of Montville. At Irwin's request, arrangements and entombment at the Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah, Cedar Park Cemetery were held privately.
