Obituary of CARL W. WENDT

Mr. Carl William Wendt died suddenly Friday morning, May 5, 2006 at his home in Parsippany. He was 75. Born in Newark, he was raised in Belleville and had lived in North Caldwell for over 30 years before moving to Parsippany six years ago. He had also maintained a second home in Belmar for many years. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Business from Rutgers University in 1951. Mr. Wendt served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had worked as pharmaceutical executive with the Becton Dickinson Company in Franklin Lakes for 20 years retiring in 1999. Previously he had worked as a property clerk with the New York City Police Department during the 1970's. He was a member of the Garden State Circle Burners Model Airplane Club. Survivors include: his wife of 49 years, Nancy J. (nee Heist); five children, Bruce Wendt and his wife Susan of Tinton Falls, Krista Nonemaker and her husband Walter of West Trenton, Sara Wendt of New York, NY, Eric Wendt of Parsippany, and Elizabeth Lomauro and her husband Russell of Caldwell; a sister, Ann Stoddart of Trumball, CT; and five grandchildren, Walter, Steven, Isabella, Lillian, and Cecelia.
