Obituary of MARIE C. STURTZ

Ms. Marie C. (nee O'Donnell) Sturtz died Wednesday afternoon, June 21, 2006 at Compassionate care Hospice at St. Clare's in Dover. She was 69. Born in Coney Island,NY, she had lived in Jersey City and Villa Park, IL., before coming to Parsippany 26 years ago. Ms. Sturtz was employed as a payroll specialist with St. Clare's Hospital in Denville for more than ten years before retiring last year. Previously, she had worked as a bookkeeper with Kaye-McDonald in West Orange and as a bookkeeper and auditor for the Hearthstone Inn in Parsippany and the Governor Morris Hotel in Morristown. She was preceded in death by her siblings Michael, Patricia, and John O'Donnell. Survivors include: three daughters, Annemarie O'Donnell of Parsippany, Elizabeth Lavelle of Whiting, and Christine Sturtz of Parsippany; four sons, Eugene Sturtz Jr. and his wife Karen of Parsippany, Glen Sturtz and his wife Michelle of Virginia, David Sturtz and his wife Lisa of Pennsylvania and Gregory Sturtz of California; her former husband Eugene Sturtz Sr.; four sisters, Lillian Spallone of Toms River, Kathy O'Donnell of Rockaway, Michelle DeLukey of Parsippany, and Ellen Cifaldi of Lake Hopatcong; three brothers, Thomas O'Donnell of Pennsylvania, William O'Donnell of Virginia, and Kevin O'Donnell of Rockaway, and twelve grandchildren.
