Mr. Mark A. Bernstein died suddenly, Thursday, September 7, 2006 at his home in Tucson, Arizona. He was 48.
Born in Bronx, NY, he had lived many years in Teaneck, NJ and in Cleveland, Ohio before moving to Tucson, Arizona.
He was a 1976 graduate of Teaneck High School and earned his Bachelors Degree in History and Political Science from the University of Arizona in 1983. He had been the University of Arizona Bench Press-Weight Lifting Champ from 1980-1983.
Mr. Bernstein had been employed as an educator in Cleveland, Ohio. He later worked as a stockbroker and financial advisor with T.D. Waterhouse in Cleveland, Ohio and the Financial Independence Corporation of America in Tucson, Arizona.
A member of the Civil War Preservation Foundation, he was a Civil War Historical Scholar and re-enactor and had personally visited all of the Civil War Battlefields.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen J. Bernstein in March of this year.
Survivors include: his father, Marvin Bernstein of Tucson, Arizona; and his sister, Jill Montagna and her husband John of Brooklyn, NY.
