Frank P. Dell'Aquila, MD, died Saturday evening, December 9, 2006 at the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center following an extended illness. He was 75. Born and raised in Newark, Dr. Dell'Aquila had been resident of Livingston for the last 42 years. Dr. Dell'Aquila was a 1953 graduate of Rutgers University, College of Pharmacy. He later earned his medical degree from the University of Bologna, Italy in 1962. He served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. Dr. Dell'Aquila was a physician in private practice specializing in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He began his practice in Newark and later moved it to Nutley and Belleville retiring in 1999 after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Essex County Medical Society, the NJ Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the American Gasteroenterological Society and the NJ Gasteroenterological Society. Survivors include: his wife of 48 years, Geraldine A. (nee Tobie); three sons, Dr. Paul Dell'Aquila and his wife Tatiana of Denville, Dr. Frank Dell'Aquila and his partner Dr. Tom Yabroudy of South Orange, and Dr. Ralph Dell'Aquila and his wife Paraskevi "Betty" of Livingston; a brother, Vincent Dell'Aquila and his wife Tina of Clark; five grand daughters, Jessica, Megan, Kelsey, Adrienne, and Mya; his nieces and nephew, Lisa, Vincent, and Diana; grand-nieces Jennifer, Cassandra, Danielle, and Victoria; an uncle, Sam Favina; and a cousin Jeff Favina.
