Mr. Nicholas Brady died peacefully Sunday evening, December 10, 2006 at his home in Parsippany. He was 94.
Born and raised in Belturbet, County Cavan, Ireland, he came to the United States in 1930, settling in New York City. He moved to Parsippany in 1968.
Mr. Brady served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was stationed in the Atlantic and Mediteranian Theatres and was a participant in the Invasion at Normandy.
He was a supervisor and mechanical engineer with NJ Bell Telephone, later Bell Laboratories in New York City and Whippany for over 40 years before retiring in 1977.
Mr. Brady was an active member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church where he volunteered as a collection counter for many years. He was also a life member of the County Cavan Men's Association.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret "Peggy" (nee Keneally) and several nieces and nephews.
