Obituary of ELEANORE ROSE FAMULARO

Mrs. Eleanore Rose (nee Koenig) Famularo, known to all as "Ele" died Saturday morning, December 16, 2006 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville following an extended illness. Born in Jersey City, she had been a longtime resident before moving to Mystic Island in 1971. She came to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany in 1981. Mrs. Famularo was a NJ licensed insurance producer. She worked as an insurance sales manager with the American Automobile Association in Verona and Florham Park before retiring in 1998. Previously she was an underwriter with the Weisbart Insurance Agency in Jersey City. She had also worked as a nurse's aide with Catholic Charities' Hope House in Dover, retiring in 2005. She was active at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Parsippany where she was a member of the Good Samaritains, the Golden Age Seniors, and volunteered with the Food Pantry. She was a member of the Lake Hiawatha Senior Citizens where she served as Second Vice President, Chaplain, and Phone Squad Coordinator. Mrs. Famularo was a member of American Legion Post #249 Ladies Auxiliary of Lake Hiawatha and BPOE Lodge #2078 Ladies Auxillary in Parsippany. She was also a licensed NJ Amateur "HAM" Radio Operator. Her call sign was "N2JEI". She was a volunteer with Parsippany RACES Emergency Management and was a Domestic Violence Response Team Volunteer for Battered Women's Service, Inc., in Morristown. Mrs. Famularo was a member of the Parsippany Republican Club and the Morris County Women's Republican Committee and Club, Morristown. She had served many terms as an elected Republican Committeewoman for District 32 in Lake Hiawatha. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Famularo in 1995. Survivors include: her daughter, Marilyn Brock and her husband Robert of Lake Hiawatha; her son, Glenn L. Roeser and his wife Lynda of Naponach, NY; four grandchildren, Steven Brock, Bree Martone, Todd Roeser, and and Robert Brock; and three great-grandchildren.
