Obituary of HELEN E. PAYERL

Mrs. Helen Elizabeth (nee Messina) Payerl died Thursday evening, December 28, 2006 at Clara Maas Continuing Care Center in Belleville. She was 81. Born and raised in Glen Ridge, she had lived in Montclair before coming to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany in 1957. She had recently moved to Nutley. Mrs. Payerl was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Church, Parsippany, as well as the Rosary Society and Golden Age Club there. She was also a member of the Parsippany Senior Citizens, the Nutley Senior Center, the Catholic Daughters, Parsippany High School Boosters and the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 249 of Lake Hiawatha. Her husband Frank Payerl died in 1987 and her infant great-grandson Mikey died recently. Survivors include two sons, Dennis Payerl and his wife Dolores of Nutley, and Gary Payerl and his wife Barbara of Lake Hiawatha; a daughter, Dawn Agodini and her husband Gianni of Rockaway; a sister, Josephine Bruzzano of New Rochelle, NY; two brothers, Michael Messina of Cedar Grove and Joseph Messina of Port Orange Florida; and nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Kimberly, Tara, Dawn, Christopher, Bryan, Samantha, Ashley, and Anthony.
