I missed you from the second I heard you left this Earth. You impacted my life in a special way. When you are not from a particular area and you slowly gain friends, losing just one makes a huge impact on one's life.
I am fortunate to have known you through Frank, although only 2 full years they were years that you were a constant in my life. Daily if not on a weekly basis you were with us by many a phone calls or with us in our home. And forget when we opened the pool in the spring, or when I made attempts at making dinner, Sangria, Frank's Bloody Mary's, etc. your timing from your home to ours was almost real-time. I bet you left many a skid marks on Beverwyck Road!
You were always there complementing me every step of the way. You inspired many by your positive attitude.
There is a place in my heart that you filled that could never be replaced by anyone. I promise.
There was only one you, there was only one "Mike & Rusty" duo; two characters never to be duplicated.

Mike, you were a great friend of mine for such a long time--30 years! I still can't believe that you're gone. 30 year friendships are so hard to lose. So many terrific memories of good times that we shared over the years, that I'll always remember and cherish. The last few weeks in particular, spending time with you and Jen were extra special, and will be the way I'll remember our friendship the most. You seemed like so happy to spend time with us. I would've done anything for you, and I know that you felt the same way. You were an extremely generous person, and had the biggest heart of anyone I know. Rest in peace my dear brother.

Mike will be missed at the Crowne Plaza Times Square. He was a part of our family for many years. Many of our employees have been sharing fond memories of Mike over the past couple of days. The guys in the banquet department are feeling a very deep loss.

Condolences to the Family of Michael T. Somers and may all the wonderful memories that Michael left behind for us. I find an old photograph and see Michael smile. As I feel his presence anew, I am filled with warmth and my heart remembers love. I remember who he used to be the laughter we shared and wonder what Michael has become.
