Obituary of CLARA M. LANNO

Mrs. Clara M. (nee Vitiello) Lanno died Thursday evening, March 8, 2007 at the Lincoln Park Renaissance Center two months short of her 100th birthday. Born in Newark, she had lived in Belleville and Bayville before coming to Montville 10 years ago. Mrs. Lanno had worked as a clerk with the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company of Newark for 30 years before retiring 34 years ago. She was a former member of the Rosary Society at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church in Bayville. Her husband Harry Lanno died in 1972. Survivors include: her daughter Barbara Benucci and her husband Ronald of Towaco; a brother, Nicholas Vitiello of Belleville; three grandchildren, Christine Rivera, Stephanie Schnitzlein, and Joseph Benucci; and 7 great-grandchildren, Christian, Giulianna, Samantha, Anthony, Isabella, Joseph, and Nicolas.
