Obituary of CATHERINE M. CASHA

Mrs. Catherine M. Casha (nee Romeo) died Wednesday evening, April 18, 2007 at the Chelsea Assisted Living in Montville. She was 92. Born in Tuckahoe, NY, she was raised in Mount Vernon, NY and lived in Nutley before moving to Montville Township in 1957. She had slso maintained a home in Pompano Beach, Fl. and Toms River. Mrs. Casha worked as an office manager with RKO Tape in Fairfield for 10 years, retiring in 1981. Previously, she was a milliner and co-owned Casha Novelty in Newark for many years with her late husband Ciro. She was a founding member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Montville and a founding member of the Montville Mustangs Association. Mrs. Casha was a member of the Power Squad Ladies Auxillary of Pompano Beach and had served two years as the group's president. Her husband Ciro "Jerry" Casha died in 2004. Survivors include: three sons, Joseph Casha of Manalapan, Phillip Casha and his wife Carol of Peach Tree City, GA., and Larry Casha and his wife Debra of Kinnelon; two sisters, Gloria Wojtyna of Carmel, NY and Dorothy Fortunato of Tennessee; a brother, Paul Romeo of Mount Vernon, NY; six grandchildren, Deborah, Philip, Joseph, Judith, Joyce, and Jerome; and six great-grandchildren.
