Mikey was so cool. He hated when I called him Mikey. I once left him a note addressed to Mikey. He'd wrote back "There's no Mikey here but I'll answer you anyway!!" I told him he was Mikey and he had no choice. I worked with him in the cash office at Home Goods for the last 3 years. He was during the week and I was on the weekends. He was always willing to help and answer my "Oh my God - what am I going to do?" phone calls when I had a problem. When I lost my husband and didn't work at Home Goods for a month, Mike worked my days to cover for me. He was the best!!! I've been told the reason we did so well on our audits was because Mikey!!! Mikey made sure that every rule was followed and every mistake was documented in the cash office. He was very dedicated and I could tell he enjoyed working at the store. I will miss calling him on the weekends and saying "Hello gorgeous" when he answered the phone. He was a great guy and I'll miss him.
