Obituary of FRANK P. CHOWANIEC

Mr. Francis P. "Frank" Chowaniec died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the Summit Ridge Health Care Center in West Orange following a long illness. He was 81. Born in Westerley, Rhode Island, he had been a resident of Parsippany for 68 years and lived briefly in Key West, Florida before moving to Denville in 2001. Mr. Chowaniec served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, and later reinlisted into the United States Navy to serve during the Korean War. He worked an electronic technician for Bell Laboratories, later Lucent Technology in Whippany for many years before retiring in 1996. Survivors include: two daughters,Cheryl Actor of Key West, Florida, and Jane Deal of St. Louis, Missouri; two sons, Tony Chowaniec of Elizabeth and Wayne Chowaniec of Montclair; a sister, Josephine; five grandchildren, Charles, Kris, Anthony, Chloe, and Carrie, and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Cara Mia.
