Obituary of ALICE C. McTIERNAN

Mrs. Alice C. (nee Cantwell) McTiernan died peacefully Tuesday morning, November 20, 2007 at Autumn Woods Assisted Living in Bridgewater following a long illness. She was 96. Born and raised in New York, NY she had been a longtime resident. She later lived in East Keansburg and Parsippany before moving to Bridgewater 2 years ago. Mrs. McTiernan had worked as an executive secretary for 36 years with various insurance companies at the World Trade Center in new York, most recently Davis-Dawlin Co. before retiring in 1976. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerard S. McTiernan, a daughter, Geraldine Van Dorn, and a brother, John Cantwell. She is survied by her daughter, Sister Regina McTiernan of the Sisters of St. John the Baptist in Gladstone, five grandchidren, Kathleen, Steve, Christopher, Daniel, and James Van Dorn all of Maine, and five great-grandchildren.
