Obituary of ANGELO S. AMATO

Mr. Angelo S. Amato died Thursday morning, November 29, 2007 at St. Clare's Hopital in Denville following a long illness. He was 90. Born in Newark, he had lived in Garfield and Passaic before moving to the Pine Brook section of Montville 52 years ago. Mr. Amato had worked as a macinist with the Engleman Microwave Co. in Whippany for many years before retiring 9 years ago. A daughter, Lucille, predeceased him. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis (nee Sasso); a son, Dennis Amato; three daughters, Rosemarie Cassale, Angelo Benedetto, and Linda Amato Creeden; a brother, John Amato; two sisters, Virginia Vezos and Rose Samarra; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held privately at the family residence, and private graveside services will be Monday, at Restland Memorial Park, in East Hanover.
