Mrs. Deborah A. (Gavigan Wells) Raggi died Sunday evening, December 9, 2007 at her home in Rockaway Township. She was 55. Born and raised in Cohoes, NY, she had lived in West Orange before moving to Rockaway Township in 1997. Mrs. Raggi had worked as a bookkeeper at the Law Firm of Fein, Such, Kahn, and Shepherd for the last 5 years before becoming ill. Previously, she worked as chief acountant and office manager withthe Lismarc Realty Co in West Caldwell for 23 years. Debbie's life revolved around her many family members. She will be remembered for the loving attention and care she gave to her husband, children, siblings, and in-laws. Her life was defined by the people whom she took care of, not the hardships she had to overcome. Debbie set an example of perseverance and generosity for her family. Though her life was never easy it was always full of love and laughter. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth (French) Wells, and her fathers, Raymond Gavigan and Joseph Wells. She was the beloved wife of David Raggi; the devoted mother of Heather Dee Kristoffersen, Anna Montanez, Joseph Malarik, Thomas Malarik, Laura Raggi, Christopher Raggi, Matthew Raggi, David Raggi, Maria LaRocco (and many who considered her their mother); the loving sister of Linda Ciesienski and her husband Lance of Lake Hiawatha, Carol Thomas and her husband Bob of Verona, Ardie Boomhower of Pittstown, NY, Timothy Gavigan of Clifton Park, NY, and James Gavigan of South Carolina; the cherished nana of Dan, Philip, Nina, Shane, Garry, Tommy John, Justin, David, Alex, Michael, Anastasia, Sean and Sabrina; the dear aunt of Matthew, Ryan, Kyle and many others, and a friend to many, new and old.
