Obituary of ANTHONY FALCONE JR.

Mr. Anthony "Tony" Falcone Jr. passed away Friday evening, May 2, 2008 at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack following an extended illness. He was 72. Born and raised in Norwalk, Connecticut, he had lived in the Pine Brook section of Montville Township for 35 years before recently moving to Parsippany. Mr. Falcone served in the United States Army following World War II. He was a part of the last occupying American force in Europe in the early 1950's. He was the founder and president of AFI Security Company in Fairfield, now known as Phoenix Diversified Group Inc., for more than 30 years, prior to his retirement last year due to illness. Mr. Falcone was a longtime member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Parsippany where he was a Eucharistic Minister, and had volunteered with the Pre-Cana Program. He was also a former member of Montville Unico, and had served in various capacities including president of the organization in 1996. He was honored as "Montville Unico Man of the Year" in 1995. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Barbara (nee Mastroddi); a daughter, Dina Marie Falcone of Lincoln Park; three sons, Anthony "J.R." Falcone III and his wife Christine of Fairfield, Daniel John Falcone and his wife Carrie of Murrietta,CA., and Michael Anthony Falcone of Parsippany; two sisters, Julie Tiano of Norwalk, CT., and Marie See of St. Petersburg, FL.; and eight grandchildren, Andrea Rose, Danielle, Anthony, Michael, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Alexa, and Chloe.
