Obituary of IRENE A. MELESKY

Irene A. Melesky (nee Tarasavage) died Tuesday afternoon, August 5, 2008 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. She was 83. Born in East Hampton, Mass., she had lived in Newark before moving to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany more than 50 years ago. A homemaker, Mrs. Melesky was an avid gardner and seamstress and always enjoyed a daily walk. She was a member of St. Peter's Golden Age Club, and the Lake Hiawatha Senior Citizens. Her husband Clifford died January 25, 2008. Survivors include her two daughters, Marie Wright of Camden, Delaware, and Carol Handville of Rio Grande; five granddaughters, Suzanne Robertson, Diane Samulak, Kristin Sheppard, Lisa Handville and Katie Handville; and two great-grandchildren, Ashley Samulak and Brandon Robertson. Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, August 9, from 10 to 11:30am at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. In lieu of flowers, memorial doantions to the American Heart Association, 2550 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902-4301 would be appreciated.
