Obituary of DANIEL R. CONICELLI SR.

Daniel Roger Conicelli Sr. passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 at his home in Parsippany. He was 92. Born in New York, he spent most of his life in the Lake Hiawatha sectionof Parsippany. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he started his own business, Danny's Electric, which he ran until his retirement in 1991. Daniel was a member and past president of the Parsippany Lions Club and an exempt member of the Lake Hiawatha Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of American Legion Post 249 in Lake Hiawatha where he was presented an award for the longest membership. He was recently preceded in death by his son, Daniel R. Conicelli Jr. Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Tina (nee Berg); his daughter, Terry Zimmer and her husband Charles of Harding; his daughter-in-law, Lona Conicelli of Long Valley; his grandchildren, Chuck Zimmer and his wife Maureen of Green Village, Daniel Zimmer of Vermont, Teana Hmiel and her husband Tom of Pennsylvania, Lona Jessen and her husband Karl of Springfield, and Carol Conicelli; and six great-grandchildren.
