Obituary of ALAN BROWNE

Alan Browne died suddenly, Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville following an extended illness. He was 86.
Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, he had lived in Irvington for 40 years before coming to Montville in 1994.
Mr. Browne was an Army Airforce Veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theatre.
He worked as a route salesman with ITT Baking Co. in Carlstadt for 38 years before retiring in 1990.
Mr. Browne was a member of St. Pius X Parish, the Montville Seniors, VFW Post 5481, and the Monvtille Bocce Club, all of Montville.
He was preceded in death by his five siblings, Donald Browne, Audrey Zoltner, Beatrice Migliori, Thomas Browne, and Georgia Pennington.
Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Josephine (nee Acocella); two sons, Alan Browne Jr. of West Orange, and Michael Browne of Rochester, NY; a daughter, Kathleen Pizzano and her husband Sam of Rockaway; his daughter-in-law Cynthia Browne; and five grandchildren, Alan Browne and his wife Krista, Michael Pizzano and his wife Laura, David Browne, Rachel Pizzano, and Alex Browne.
