Linda is like a sister to me. Our friendship and feeling for each other, although unspoken, runs much deeper than weekend marjong game together. She will forever live in my heart.

We convey our sincere heartfelt sympathy to Stephen and all members of the Chang family upon the loss of a dearly beloved. Her sudden passing is shocking and devastating. Words cannot begin to comfort such deep sorrow but please know that you are all in our hearts and thoughts.
We grieve the loss of dear Linda; a long-time friend, ever so thoughtful, kind and generous. Our times together are fondly cherished, especially our very recent meeting here in San Francisco.

I am saddened and stunned by the loss of Mrs. Chang. I first met her over 28 years ago...during college. She was always cheerful and friendly towards me. We never really shared many words, but her strong matronly way and her great sense of humor always gave me a sense of comfort and ease when visiting. As friends of her kids...Glenda, Stef and Conrad, I had numerous encounters with her - mostly at the family's old Flower Valley home. I have to admit, I was kind of jealous that she never made dumplings for me to take home, but I've gotten over that....just kidding. The act of making food and caring for a kid's classmate (Preston) so much...gave me the warm feeling that this is a good woman. In knowing her children, it's obvious that she has passed on that goodness in a very robust way. She also passed on her zest for life in the way she enjoyed her family. At the couple of family weddings I attended, the love of her family overflowed and she took it all in so elegantly. I will even miss the redness of her nose when she celebrated with a drink or two. Mrs. Chang...I have always admired you and how you were the Rock of your family....I'll miss you..as will many many others. May you rest in peace....
