Obituary of DENNIS D. DISKEN

Dennis D. Disken died Tuesday morning, October 5, 2010 at Morristown Memorial Hospital following a corageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 63. Born and raised in Amityville, NY he lived in West Hempstead, NY before moving to Boonton Township 25 year ago. Mr. Disken was a 1969 graduate of St. John's University in Queens, NY where he was a member of Zeta Sigma Pi Fraternity. He was an owner of MPD Transport in Fairfield for the last 25 years. Previously, he served as Vice president of Distribution for A & S Department Stores in Brooklyn, NY. Mr. Disken was active with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and was a member of the Peace Pipe Golf Club in Denville. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Linda Disken; two daughters, Pamela Koutrakos of Fair Lawn and Michele Greco of New York; a sister, Carol Donohoe of Hew Hampshire; and his three grandchildren Colby, Peyton, and Liam.
