Obituary of NICHOLAS V. MINA

Nicholas V. Mina died Wednesday morning, November 10, 2010 at Care One at Morris in Parsippany following a long illness. He was 88.
Born and raised in Jersey City he was a lifelong resident of the "Marion Section" before moving to Parsippany in 2006.
He served in the United States Army during World War II, serving in Guam.
Mr. Mina was an electrician for the State of New Jersey for 30 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a longtime parishioner and volunteer at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Jersey City where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus Council.
He was preceded in death by his wife Grace (nee Calfo), and a brother, Salvatore Mina.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda McCarthy and her husband John, and Catherine Mina Manna and her husband Robert Jr.; three brothers, Paul, Joseph, and Anthony Mina; three grandchildren, Jennifer Bottarini and her husband George, Robert McCarthy and his wife Suzanne and Michael Jacquin; and two great-grandchildren, Audrey and John George Bottarini.
