Pauline M. Battistuta (nee Dispaltro) died Sunday morning, December 5, 2010 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. She was 84.
Born in Cliffside Park to Elia & Mattea Dispaltro, she had been a resident of the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany since 1966.
She was a homemaker. Mrs. Battistuta was an active member of St. Gregory's Episcopal Church in Parsippany where she served on the Altar Guild for over 25 years. She was a volunteer with the Parsippany Office on Aging and Granny's Attic in Lake Parsippany and at the Parsippany Senior Center in Lake Hiawatha for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Parsippany Friendship Club, where she had served as treasurer.
She was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Anthony Battistuta; a daughter, Elaine Chasmar and her husband James of Hackettstown; a son, David Battistuta of Pittsburgh, PA. a brother, Joseph Dispaltro of Florida; two sisters, Helen Katz and Lucy Diner both of Florida; and three grandchildren, Jamie and Bryan of Hackettstown, and Laurel currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps in Afganistan.
