Obituary of PAULINE M. BATTISTUTA

Pauline M. Battistuta (nee Dispaltro) died Sunday morning, December 5, 2010 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville. She was 84. Born in Cliffside Park to Elia & Mattea Dispaltro, she had been a resident of the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany since 1966. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Battistuta was an active member of St. Gregory's Episcopal Church in Parsippany where she served on the Altar Guild for over 25 years. She was a volunteer with the Parsippany Office on Aging and Granny's Attic in Lake Parsippany and at the Parsippany Senior Center in Lake Hiawatha for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Parsippany Friendship Club, where she had served as treasurer. She was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Anthony Battistuta; a daughter, Elaine Chasmar and her husband James of Hackettstown; a son, David Battistuta of Pittsburgh, PA. a brother, Joseph Dispaltro of Florida; two sisters, Helen Katz and Lucy Diner both of Florida; and three grandchildren, Jamie and Bryan of Hackettstown, and Laurel currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps in Afganistan.
