Michael G. Ricci died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Morristown Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was 91.
Born in Naples, Italy, Mr. Ricci immigrated to the United States at the age of 5 settling in Harlem, NY. He had been a resident of Bronx, NY for 35 years before moving to Parsippany, in 1993.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during World War II.
Mr. Ricci worked as a supervisor with the United States Post office in Manhattan for 38 years, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church in Parsippany and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
Mr Ricci was preceded in death by his wife Marie A. (nee Dentico) in 2000. Survivors include his two sons, Anthony and Joseph Ricci; two sisters Angela "Lee" Dentico and Anna Santini; four grandchildren, Jason, Jeff, Jinny, and Brian Ricci; and two great-grandchildren, Mariah and Jenna.
