Mrs. Eugenia G. Puiu (nee Ghimbasan) died Friday morning, December 31, 2010 at Morris View Nursing Home surrounded by her family. She was 104.
Born in Brasov. Romania, she came to the United States in 1977 settling in New York. She had lived in Montville since 2006.
Mrs. Puiu had worked as a private secretary to the Governor of Romaina for many years before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her husband Georghe Puiu, and is survived by four children, Romulus Puiu of Montville, Liana Stinghe of New York, Magalena Savarino of Montville, and Calint Puiu of Roseland; six grandchidlren and 1 great-grandchildren.
