Dr. Raymond Joseph Skala died January 25, 2011 at his home in Montville. He was 94.
Born January 1, 1917 in Providence, RI, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as alieutenant senior grade in the Dental Corps.
He attended Duke University where he received his Bachelors Degree in 1944. He graduated from Temple University Dental School in 1945. He alter graduated from the American Institute of Orthodontics in 1971.
He practiced dentistry in Paterson, NJ and moved to Montville in 1965 where he continued his practice until his retirement 25 years ago. "He bids a fond adieu to every cavity that he knew".
He was preceded in death by his wife Regina in 2004. Survivors include his sisterSabina Aimone and several nieces and nephews.
All arrangements were held privately.
A Memorial Tree was planted for DR.
