Mark L. Borgers died Monday morning, March 7, 2011 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville following a brief illness. He was 66.
Born in Urbana, IL., his work with the military brought him around the country. He lived in Washington D.C., Guam, Texas, and Florida before moving to Boonton ten years ago.
He worked as an administrator with the United States Air Force for over 30 years before being honorably discharged. He also worked as an Assistant Director of Extended Care with the VA Hospital at Lyons, NJ.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Joann A. Borgers (nee Picconi); his three children, Bryan Borgers and his wife Amy Florida, Erica Borgers and her fiancee Jason Klonkowski of Georgia, and Mark A. Borgers and his wife Angel of Japan; his mother, Luise M. Borgers (nee Cohrs) of Florida; his siblings, Erich Borgers and his wife Karen of Illinois, Kathryn Hill and her husband Dan of Florida, and Keith Borgers of Florida; and six grandchildren, Olivia Rose, Shawn, Dannielle, Logan, Katie and Jillian.
