Damian S. Ryan died peacefully Sunday, May 8, 2011 at his home in Bernardsville following a battle with colon cancer. He was 51.
Born and raised in Summit, he had also lived in Bloomfield and Basking Ridge before moving to Bernardsville six years ago.
Mr. Ryan earned his bachelors degree in marketing from Villanova Univversity.
He was employed as a computer security analyst with NJ Manufacturer's Insurance in Trenton for the last 3 years before becoming ill. Previously, he had worked as a computer analyst with Merill Lynch and Ernst and Young.
Preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mary (nee Kelly) Ryan, he is survived by his life partner of 17 years, Allen Cohen; a sister, Jennifer Eckert; a niece, Megan; and a host of dear friends.
