Obituary of DANIEL R. O'KEEFE

Daniel Robert O'Keefe died Monday afternoon, May 23, 2011 at St. Calre's Hospital in Denville. He was 76. Born and raised in Union City, he had also lived in Weehawken before moving to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany in 1966. Mr. O'Keefe was a United States Army Veteran. He had worked as a warehouse mnager with Hardware Design Co. of Fairfield before retiring 7 years ago. previously, he worked in the same capacity wih Ferrum Co. of Pine Brook. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #9785 in Eagele River, Alaska, and had been a scout leader with Boyscout Pack 110 of Lake Hiawatha. He was preceded in death by his siblings John, Carl, and Emil Miller, Clara Henke, and Joan Santore. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Frances E. (nee Severino); his children, Daniel J. O'Keefe and his wife Pamela of Saylorsburg, PA., and Lori Gillen and her husband Matthew of Kingston, PA.; two grandchildren, Trisha Lee and Nicholas James O'Keefe; and many nieces and nephews.
