Obituary of MICHAEL MIHAL

Michael Mihal died Thursday afternoon, August 11, 2011 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. He was 82.
Born and raised in Old Forge, PA., he had live the last 35 years in Boonton.
Mr. Mihal served int he United States Navy as a submarine radio and sonar operator during the Korean War.
He earned his Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering from NJIT in 1969.
Mr. Mihal had been employed with the Singer Kearfott Corporation as an electrical and aerospace engineer for 35 years before retiring 17 years ago.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Mihal Thomson; and a grandson, Jason Thomson.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Doris N. (nee Specht); his children Michele Egarian and her husband David, Michael G. Mihal and his wife Judy; and Denise Mihal; three sisters, Margaret Lilli, Annamae Shearer, and Bernice Lutchko; four grandchildren, Chris, Jeff, Kim, and Nathan; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of the NJ Veteran's Memorial Home in Paramus.
