Richard T. Braden died suddenly Saturday, September 23, 2011 at his home in the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany. He was 81.
Born in Hoboken, he had live many years in Montville Township and later Manahawkin before coming to Lake Hiawatha in 2009.
Mr. Braden served in the United States Marines Corps during the Korean War.
He was an insurance executive with the Prudential Insurance Co. for many years before his retirement.
Mr. Braden was a member of the Cpl. Robert Slattery Detachment of the Marine Corps League, and AARP.
Survivors include his wife Loretta A. (nee Stiehler) Braden; seven sons, Richard, Timothy, Christopher, Patrick, Michael, Thomas and KEvin Braden; a daughter, Laura Zavala; two brothers, Edward and Eugene Braden; two sisters, Anne Doucette, and Geraldine Hallis; and 19 grandchildren.
