Obituary of JAMES C. LAWLAR

James C. lawlar died Wednesday morning, October 5, 2011 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was 65. Born and rasied in Norwood, PA., he had lived in Morristown before moving to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany 25 years ago. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Lawlar worked as a bus driver for the Parsippany Board of Education for the last six years before becoming ill. Previously, he had worked as a chemical mixer with Panelgraphic in West Caldwell and as an auto parts representative for General Motors. He was a member of Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Cedar Knolls where he was a volunteer van driver. He was also a lifeguard and swimming instructor at the Lakeland Hills YMCA in Mountain Lakes. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Joanne Lawlar (nee Raab); his siblings, John Lawlar of Texas, Margaret Bohan of New Jersey, and Catherine Lawlar of Florida; and his "girls" Bear, Siena, and Angel.
